Steve joined ONCAP in 2011. Previously, he worked at CIBC Merchant Banking and the Investment Banking division of Genuity, both in Toronto. Stephen is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Education
Steve holds an Honours in Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University.
Areas of Focus
As Managing Partner and Co-Head of ONCAP, Steve is responsible for ONCAP’s operations, including investment decision-making, strategic offsites, oversight of sectors of emphasis and business development, team development, and relationship with Onex and limited partners. He also sits on the Board of Directors of several ONCAP operating companies.
Additionally, Steve oversees talent management, procurement and financial reporting.
Interesting Fact
Steve is president of the ONCAP beer club which has an annual trip where the ONCAP team schedules physical exercise and social activities followed by a tasting of specialty craft beers.
